Description

Create a label/point conflict resolution algorithm to avoid point/label overlappings. It would be nice to have a fast interactive one, but also have the ability to run an expensive but more precise one for map printing that would also allow for detaching labels on a separate layer in order to manually adjust them

Deegree have an implemenation of an algorithm to do that that we may be able to adopt. You can browse the code online at:

Dave Blasby has been working on this with some success! Thanks dave. Fixes are available in 2.1.x and 2.2.x streams
