Description

The array operations overlay, update, binary lift, and some others are listed as "TBD" in Array.x10. I'm adding this JIRA so we don't forget to track them.

This affects test cases (none of which currently compile):

  • Array/ArrayAlgebra2
  • Array/MiscTest1
  • Array/ArrayAlgebraWithDType
  • Array/TestSimpleArrayMult

Binary lift is a key requirement for one of our apps. There seems to be no other straightforward way to write an pointwise operation for two arrays with the same dist.

The API of array is now implemented (no unimplemented operations). Will handle new operations via separate feature requests.
