java interop: parser does not accept @Throws annotation with constructor without specifying return type (JavaException3)

JavaException3.x10:12: Syntax error: Token "*" expected instead of this input
JavaException3.x10:16: Syntax error: Token ":" expected instead of this input

One can workaround the syntax error by specifying a type for the constructor (not sure why this is, I know nothing about the parser).

import x10.interop.java.*;

public class InteropConstructorThrows {
    public def this () : InteropConstructorThrows @Throws[java.lang.Throwable] { }
}

This then causes a javac bug to do with $init methods. Mikio, can you take a look?
