On jdk1.5 I receive an error Unkown proxy type HTTP when using the proxy selector. It is not possible to use the proxy environement settings in jdk1.5.
Please create a setter for the useProxyUtils in CommonsHttpMessageSender or make isNonProxy protected.
In this case the regular environement settings proxy.host and proxy.port can still be used under jdk1.5.
