Description

(note: carrying over new dev task from WSTX-185)

It would be nice to get functioning Maven setup for Woodstox, specifically to make distribution/release process more automated, reliable and less laborious.

m2build works and rocks, all tests green, osgi bundling needs
care though. files in resources moved to new directory

Good. Since I branched 4.0 out of trunk yesterday, I can check in the pom file (apply the patch).

Hmmh. I am curios regarding changes to setProperty() calls... why was this made?

Maybe this is due to some automated refactoring (by Eclipse)?

Checked in most of the changes, but I'll solve the 'src/java/test' problem bit differently.
Basically, these are more 'tools', not really tests. Tool may not be optimal term, but has to do for now to ensure they are not considered unit tests.
So, I'll move them out, clean up, and that should simplify things a bit.

Some new thoughts:

  • Yes, let's just get rid of "asl" vs "lgpl", and them as alternative licenses. Division seemed like a good idea at the time, not so much any more
  • I ended up creating intermediate 4.1 branch, so will not do much more 5.0 dev until 4.1 gets released, to minimize need to merge both ways
  • Still need to produce stax2-api separate from woodstox-core

And one new requirement:

  • Let's separate out MSV-based validator into a new module ("woodstox-msv-validator"?). Core has no dependency to this, validator does depend on core, stax2-api as well as MSV pieces. This should be cleaner than having optional dependencies from core to validator
