There are user reports indicating that some 3.x builds were incorrectly build on JDK 1.5. Jars were obtained via Maven, so it is possible that this was caused by a transient problem. However, we should verify that what is available through web site and the source Maven repo (codehaus one) is properly compiled on JDK 1.4.

Hmmh. Ok, so 3.2.1 release is good, compiled using 1.4 ok. But 3.1.2 release is broken, compiled using 1.5.
This needs to be resolved.

Turns out that 3.0.4 was compiled with 1.5 as well. I updated all 3 places that have artifacts (download page; Maven 1 repo, Maven 2 repo), and hopefully updated jars will find their way to other Maven repos.
