Description

The tile sets in Virtual Earth are directly accessible for "noncommercial" purposes (see http://www.worldwindcentral.com/wiki/Add-on:Virtual_Earth) and include lots of road and satellite data which is nice to see. It should be possible to add a Virtual Earth layer directly into uDig.

I agree! And the same should apply for Yahoo, along with Google and mapQuest, et, al, wherein user may enter license/key information as and when is required.
