Description
Many of the data stores feeding uDig include extra information about a resource than just the "name" or even the "title". WMS and WFS for example can sometimes include an "abstract" which can run to 50 or 100 words.
PostgreSQL tables can sometimes (rarely) have a "comment" defined on them.
While abstracts and comments are usually too big to include in-line with the standard labels, the UI should allow for them to be seen, either with an appropriate tooltip
or by making use of some of the usually empty space to the right side of the search/catalog view panels.
