If you were logged in you would be able to see more operations.

1. load in the BC roads sample dataset .shp file
2. select 10 or so features using the select-by-box tool.
3. open the "selection view"
4. it will redraw the map several? times. Then the "selection view" looks like it re-draws (and queries) for every feature selected.
5. you cannot do anything on your computer for a long time because its very busy.

Selection view refreshes constantly
