properties dialog for feature layer disappeared?

    Details

      Description

Where has the properties view for layers gone?
One used to be able to rightclick on a layer and select properties. Beyond other things there was a panel that showed the properties of the layer. It is no more.

It was the only place where we could see the type of every field (Double, Long, etc.).

Also, now the properties of a shapefile layer shows the WMS Tileset Properties. Should those really be there?

To show the properties dialog -> Summary -> FeatureType on the right panel. There you can see all properties listed

Tileset is implemented to be displayed if the selected object is a Layer. Wondering why the functionality described in the docs (http://udig.github.io/docs/user/tasks/Enabling%20a%20Tileset%20from%20a%20WMS%20Server.html) doesn't works for me. I expected to get the properties view entry only if the Layer is a WMS resource. Can we use the adapt() to check it? This leads me to the question, why is it implemented in project.ui bundle. Wouldn't be catalog.wms (that have ui contributions already) a better place?
