Can't connect correctly to PostGIS database

Description

Since version 1.2 UDIG is not able to connect correctly to a POstGIS database and display all the public schemes available ...
There was no problem in version 1.

Incredible a final version has been published with such a critical bug that just makes Udig unusable !
Impossible a final version has been published without the dev aren't aware of this ... The use of a database in a GIS software sounds like basis ....

We also had this problem and discovered that our "geometry_columns" table had not been populated. Postgis AddGeometryColumn function correctly adds this information. Worked for us.
