Description

In testing 1.2-M9 against Walkthrough 1 links I have run into an issue:

  • drag and drop from Internet Explorer 8 does not work
  • drag and drop from Firefox 3.5.3 does not work

I can drag links onto the desktop; and I can see visual feedback from the uDig Catalog view (little horizontal lines showing where content would be placed if the cursor was not a big fat shape).

We need to stick a break point in the DnD code and check what IE thinks it is giving us and make allowances for whatever the content is this week.

Note that Eclipse 3.5.x directly supports "URL" as a content type these days so we should be able to be specific (and the chances are that our workaround from pervious versions of Eclipse are what is breaking us).
