Buffer tool in Axios plug-in fails to buff

Description

When I use the spatial operation Buffer in the Axios plug-in, it fails to create the buffer. This function worked reasonably well initially but has proven inconsistent as of late (sluggish performance, unable to save buffer, etc.)

Any suggestions?

Dear Amelia: thanks for your report. Today we have tested the buffer (es.axios.udig.extensions 1.1.4 for uDig 1.1.1). We have use the cities layer from udig-sample data. We have made about 14 buffers, it looks right. We notice that some times the result layer is not showed in the map, To see the result is necessary to force the render action (refresh, zoom, pan, etc). Can you confirm if you experiment the same problem? If you refresh your map, is the buffer layer showed?

Doing a codereview, I found a bug in Buffer task. It is not committing the transactions, so I guess this could be the reason of the described behavior. The fix will be available in es.axios.udig.extensions.1.2.
