I could able to implement the Save Project option in UDIG...? I found Udig only having auto save option while closing uDig or Closing Project? I would like to save a project in particular directory.

Pls guide me with your ideas.

I think you are looking for "Save As..." option (to maintain the same format). Or an "Export" wizard if you were to save in a different project format. We use EMF to capture our project model and make use of the EMF facilities to save it.

Save is supposed to be for the Maps (or any other modal editor) - as such I recommend an Export wizard.

Please note that because you marked this issue as "fix for UDIG 1.2.M2" it would not show up for anyone checking uDig bugs (because the 1.2.M2 release has already been made). For this reason you did not get any feedback when you first reported this problem.

When trying to export a project the wizard will not allow the User to continue once the form has been filled in correctly, clicking the Finish button does nothing.

while looking into this issue: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/UDIG-1376, i found the export would complete if the export directory was the runtime-udig.product (udig's default conf store)
