wms: can not add new image type

Description

In Preferences->Rendering->Basic WMS Renderer , there is a button labeled "New..." for adding a new image type. Pressing this button does not lead to anything.

It would be very useful to add new image types here.

I was not aware of that button; for reference what should it let you be doing? Are we adding new MIME types or something here? I kind of suspect that it should choose between a list of supported image types (ie whatever is supported by the JRE being run).

What do you think?

Some times is can be nice to use/test a special mime type like "image/png; mode=32bit" that some wms servers offer.

Perhaps we could let the user choose between the mime types from the capabilities of the connected wms servers? Or just enter a random mime type.

Yes, this can lead to problems if the JRE does not have a proper image decoder.

Fix commited as of -r31179

Most of this fix was already there; just commented out. I did add to this solution and refused to accept the default field value of "image/". About the only thing more we could do here is change the value as typed in.
