uDIG

uDig.app file in Finder should have uDig version #, not Eclipse's.

Details

Description

for OS X, the uDig.app file should remain named uDig.app, keeping it short and simple, instead of using uDig-1.1-RC13a.app for example. Additionally, a user should be able to right click on the uDig.app file in a Finder window ,and select Get Info, to see the actual/proper version number of the uDig application. Currently, version 3.3 of Eclipse is showing.

Worry not I'm about to embark on redoing release script. Part of that is to make the OSX install work "correctly". So issues like this will be fixed.

must re-addrss this issue at a latter time when the Eclipse build process for OS X is as such so that the application itself(.app) is applied the right version number, instead of having the Eclipse version applied to the application(.app) file.

The first part of the issue is completely resolved, the udig.app file has this name in the udig folder. The second part of this issue (the info on the .app file) seems to be an eclipse related problem.
For me this bug as a uDig bug is resolved.
