Description

Map printing is quite poor with uDig.
Any sound printing template + grid(s) AND coordinates + SRS + compass + date + scale + scale bar?
Bringing *.txt, *.rtf files, bitmaps?
Could the legend be anchored to any corner of the page/printing template?
Am I missing something?

Yes it is terrible at the moment and it is due for a complete overhaul. But that will be for 1.2. For now it is extensible so a developer can improve on it. Also I am putting out a new uDig release and there is a plugin on the update site that will go along with it to allow one to print to a PDF. The paper size and map scale can be accurately set.

Please be patient... we will get there soon.
