Description

There should be a way to snap to an entire segment of a line. Useful if the line to snap to is a curve

I implemented this with a customer (not open source sorry) using the JTS LineIndex data structure; it took around 4 hours if someone wants to do the work again.

I noticed that uDig 1.2 RC3 documentation describes new tools:

- Snap to Line Mode (under development)
- Parallel Mode (under development)

In which production version can we expect to see these new features?

I think you will find they are included in the axios tools; not sure when those (or similar) will be included in udig out of the box.
