Stutter effect still there

There are still ways to get the "stutter" effect while panning. I'm using a PostGIS layer and uDig 1.1 RC8.
Different way to pan provide different effects:

• drag, stop and release: ok
• drag and release without stopping: stutter, I see the old (pre drag) map reappear
• do the above twice as if you where scrolling with Acrobat with the "hand" tool: stutter + the second time the original map appears
