      Description

When I open the motion chart view, I would like the view to open for the most recent date, so that I immediately see the current situation.

At the moment, I have to slide the date to the most recent date manually.

I could not find a way to set this. If it can be done, please tell me how. Apologies upfront if I missed something.

Displaying the latest date is possible (and it's a good idea) but it has a side-effect. The button play does nothing the first time it's clicked. It plays the movie of the last day only ! That's why it must be clicked two times. I think it's a really disturbing behavior.

The side-effect could be addressed by having the implicit understanding that if someone wants to play a movie and the current view shows the last date, the user must intend to play the whole movie.

So, not after two clicks (as it does now), but right away after the first click.

This would imho be logical behaviour. It does not make sense to play a movie for one day.

I made a patch which implements this feature.

In the configuration of the plugin you have to set the 'show recent metrics' to true, false means you keep the current functionality of the motion chart.

The 'bug' with clicking the play button twice is Google related, I reported this: ID: 437. It might be possible to tweak this with the state option but didn't had the time yet to figure this out.

The property 'initChartOnLatestDate' on the widgets now allows to control this behaviour.
