Description

The rules and rule profiles need some care. The issues I perceive:

  • most rules are badly named
  • default severities can be much improved
  • newer rules are missing, sometimes
  • the rule repositories should get different names or something.
    This would simplify the handling in the sonar UI greatly.

The rules names and descriptions have room for improvement, especially in case of cppcheck and rats. Nevertheless, overall they should be sufficiently good for the first release. Considering this issue done.
