Description

I would be really neat if Sonar (or perhaps Sonar plugin for Hudson?) could notify via Email and/or RSS Feed (even XMPP) when a projects code coverage or rules compliance went down. They could even send a positive notification when these metrics go up by a certain minimum percentage. This would take away the requirement for someone to actually actively look at the sonar dashboard all the time (similar to CI tools, where you can peruse the builds, but you also get instant feedback). The notification could be even more granular, but I would say this level is enough – the user can then just go to the web page and look for more details.

For even more advanced feature, the maven sonar run could send gets the modifications from SCM and include the culprits (or reverse-culprits) in the sonar database so the notification could either just include the names in the notification or even just send emails to the appropriate people.

Are you sure this functionality is implemented? I can't manage to find RSS feed on Sonar UI.
