Description

It would be beneficial if an instance has the Views plugin installed and licensed that the Administrator could select, via the 'Configuration >> Settings >> General' page a View that they wish all users to see when they log in rather than the current view all page. This would enable administrators the ability to tailor the initial view to their audience.

If there are additional plug-ins being developed, it would be great if these could be flagged as potential front page options, so as to allow any plug-in that wishes to be viewed as a front-page replacement to be selected. For instance, the Radiator plug-in could potentially act as a front-page.

This feature is partially implemented with filters (since version 2.2). You can load all the views in a dedicated filter and set this filter as the default to be displayed.

As per discussions, this wasn't truly fixed in Filters, and the functionality doesn't allow a View to be used as the landing page in the manner expressed. Hence, I am re-opening.

We don't need anymore this feature with the global dashboards feature (Sonar 3.1+).
