Description

A family of three immix garbage collectors have been added to Jikes RVM in r14169.

The collectors were developed by Kathryn McKinley and Steve Blackburn (see PLDI'08 paper for further info). GenImmix improves over GenMS across all heap sizes by one or two percent on average. Immix improves greatly over the existing full heap collectors. StickyImmix gives performance close to GenMS without requiring a copying nursery.

The first cut at the collectors has been committed and added to the nightly regressions. Code clean up and some bug fixes remain. Will open separate JIRAs for those.
