If we want to do this, I can do the migration from Maven 1 to Maven2. I have lots of experience with that.

But we should also decide how to present the 3 artifacts - as different modules of one release version, eg 1.7, or 3 independent releases.

Given that the attributes and xml modules have yet to be released, perhaps this issue can be postponed to after 1.7.

Moved modules to sandbox until there they are sufficiently mature for release.
