This is usefull to identify the exact version of the deployed jar, without relying on its name.

We rely here on the Manifest build by Maven's jar-plugin. We hope the info is complete in Maven 1.0 final.

I inspected the current builds on Maven2 and it looks like the spec-version is now included.
