The breadcrumbs (as defined by <links> in navigation.xml) do not appear evenly spaced. Also, there is not a property to customize the separator – currently it's set to a |. I have a patch which puts an additional none.png at the end of each breadcrumb so they are evenly spaced, and adds maven.xdoc.crumb.separator which can be set to a separator (but defaults to the existing pipe).
