It uses the tags to denote the pie-chart caegories, and the number of times the tag appear is the size of the slice. It will pick up the names of the tags from the taglist report.
Please note that this patch requires a taglist plugin with the patch from http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MTAGLIST-30 (Taglist should output xml files in order to be consumed by other plugins e.g. the dashboard plugin) applied.
