This log pretty clearly proves that you are not running Maven 3.0 or 3.0.1.

actually, I was able to reproduce the issue with 3.0.1:

1) if I run mvn against "real" snapshot repo - all works;

2) but if I run mvn against a nexus which is a proxy to the "real" repo

  • then the problems are as I described;
