      Description

      In MNG-1725, Jason indicated this was the plan for Maven 3.x. I didn't see an existing issue and from what I can tell it hasn't been implemented yet, so creating an issue to track it.

          From my mailing list post:

          I'd like to replace the default Maven logger implementation with my own. I assume I need to
          create an extension but if that is try, how do I get a list of mojo's to call setLog on? Is
          there a Plexus injection way to do this.

          Ultimately what I am trying to accomplish is interpose on the log output to filter out messages
          that are not relevant or cannot be suppressed using other means.

          Would be really nice to be able to control the logging messages of third party components used in Maven plugins.

          There's a working implementation here : http://code.google.com/p/slf4j-maven-plugin-log/
          <dependency>
          <groupId>com.googlecode.slf4j-maven-plugin-log</groupId>
          <artifactId>slf4j-maven-plugin-log</artifactId>
          <version>1.0.0</version>
