batch file fails on exit with Windows NT4

Description

maven 2 runs fine but command line finishes with an "incorrect command...." in windows NT4 because the exit \B command isn't supported in NT4 shell.

there doesn't appear to be a simple way to detecgt windows nt vs windows 2000/xp, and exiting without /B is quite harmful but the only way it seems possible to propogate the error level.

I'm afraid we can't officially support Windows NT (however if you find a solution and attach a patch, feel free to reopen this and it will be applied)
