Description

Mantis bug tracking system provides API to access it remotely. So, I think it will not be complicate to integrate it.
I will start working on providing support for Mantis in changes plugin by tomorrow. There is anybody interest in this support or is there anybody already begin work to integrate Mantis?

To my knowledge nobody is working on Mantis integration for the changes plugin.

Before you start coding, just a heads up on some previous discussions that we have had. There has been talk of using an issue-tracker-layer to abstract the details of each issue tracker. Much like Maven SCM does for version control. Unfortunately it has only been discussions this far. Mylar has been mentioned as a possible way to do this.

If you are still eager to do this, without an issue-tracker layer, I suggest that we at least look at something light that will get us in the right direction. Perhaps a simple interface. If this is still of interest to you, let us know.

Hi Dennis,

I've seen the comments related to the issue-tracker-layer and also the reason why the Mylin layer could not be used.
I will look today on Maven SCM to see how the abstraction layer is designed.

I'm planning to come back with a design proposal any time soon.

I just started to use mantis! I've been using maven 1.x and 2.x to automate de build and documentation.

And I am trying to use Eclipse + Mylin.

sure you can help. I was not able to do much till now on this. I've discussed with Denis and the idea is to re-factor part of the plug-in to make it more generic in terms of bug tracking systems.
Drop any idea you may have.
