Could we have a remove-source mojo?

See http://maven.40175.n5.nabble.com/How-to-compile-twice-tp4422255p4425493.html for details; this poor guy wants to exclude certain sources from compilation that were added into the compiler source paths by some other plugin. He'd like to exclude some of them, but by the time the compiler plugin is invoked, its <exclude> elements can't work.
