This also requires hibernate-commons-annotations.jar, which hasn't been uploaded.

The hibernate-annotations pom.xml doesn't include hibernate-commons-annotations as a dependency, shouldn't that be done as part of this fix?

This has already been uploaded. I think that will have to wait for 3.3.1, as I believe the ibiblio policy is not to modify existing poms.
