current directory is not the same in unix script and in windows script

it seems that neither script change current directory.

In my opinion the scripts shouldn't change the current working directory otherwise it would not be possible to use them like usual commands on command line. Have you other use cases ? Can you give an example for such a use case?

Thinking about it, my need is to know the base directory.
In this case, I have two solutions :

1. adding a file in the configuration directory with the absolute path of the installation : not very nice.
2. using the basedir property but according to the documentation :

   basedir - The installation directory of the application, i.e. the directory where bin/ and repo/ exist.
   Use this if you need to load files relative to your installation directory.
   (This is marked as deprecated and will be removed with Release 1.3).

Exactly one line above the excerpt you given of the documentation: app.home is given. Which exactly has that what you need. I hope so.

Not basename basedir is the one which is replaced by app.home.
