Test case:

require 'jruby'
str = "." * 2000
rstr = JRuby.reference(str)
abort "getUnicodeValue truncated" if rstr.getUnicodeValue.length != 2000

The bug was introduced in accb0e99ce71174119228862a7fc8a5565f75ed2.
