Allow searching jiras for number (or presence) of attachments

Description

In GeoServer and GeoTools there is a number of open tickets in which users went the extra mile and attached patches (often without marking the jira as containing a patch) or useful data and scripts to reproduce an issue. I would like to prioritize solving those issues first but it's hard given that I can't see a way to search for the number of attachments.

A possible way to address that is to install this plugin: https://studio.plugins.atlassian.com/wiki/display/JTOOL/JIRA+Toolkit+Plugin
which among others allows to sort for number of attachments and number of comments

I think this would be of general interest of any project with a significant number of open issues (which is a common situation in many long lived projects)

We're upgrading the plugin tonight 2am CST (after some confusion about which version yesterday).

Then we'll add the fields and reindex.

The new field is added "Number of attachments"; however given our past history with reindexing, we can't kick that off until the weekend (as it takes a while).

I will get Contegix to start the reindex on Saturday 2am CST

Ben, thanks, I tried a search and it seems to work fine. Looks like an improvement to me, I feel like I can finally get to list the issues where the users/contributors went the extra mile and provided either patches or sample data to reproduce a problem, screenshots and so on.

Since the Jira upgrade (which I guess happened in tha last 48 hours) the ability to search on the number of attachments seems to be gone (at least for the GeoServer/GeoTools projects, not sure if this was a per project or global feature)

According to the console, that plugin is enabled; however I've just done a reindex which is often required to kick it into action.

I have verified that advanced search allows a search by number of attachments:

Yep, I can see that. However it still does not show up in the simple search. I guess I'll have to learn how to use the advanced one...

It's on the simple issue search screen now (needed to be added to default screen - which is not really very obvious).

The "number of attachments" search stopped working, simple search does not show the search field either.
I guess a jira upgrade has been done recently?

Ah hem... without the "number of attachements" field it's really hard to find the best issues to work on (the ones that have a patch, but for which often people forget to raise the corresponding flag, and the ones that have data to reproduce the issue)

Sigh, it seems the other custom field "days since last modified" (or something like that) is also gone, which was the other way to find at least "active" tickets...
