Description

Hi Choremaster,

CODEHAUS's FISHEYE seems to be out-of-date: E.g. it reports janino/UnitCompiler's commit on 2007-07-30, but ever since I have committed 1.53 (2007-09-01) and 1.54 (2007-09-01).

Do you really want to continue using CVS?

CVS is not synchronised with the fisheye server at present. You'd have to be one of the last active projects using CVS.

We can make it work, but I'd rather just get you over to SVN at a convenient time.

How embarassing, really!

Yeah, I'd like to make the switch to SVN, if only to learn about the tool. However I am quite busy at this time and can only do it in a few months or so. Can you support me when the time has come?

Also, it is not necessary that you reanimate FISHEYE for JANINO CVS.

Sure, not a problem.

Just let us know when you want to switch and we'll take care of it all for you.

Yep... I'm a SVN newbie though. Where's the CODEHAUS SVN cookbook?

How're we gonna do this - migrate the entire repository, or just the last version?

We'll take care of the logistics of the upgrade. All your revisions / tags / branches are migrated.

There are a bunch of pages written at http://docs.codehaus.org/display/HAUSMATES/Subversion+at+the+haus#Subversionatthehaus-ProjectCommitter

Hi Ben,

when will the migration to SVN take place? I need to commit changes to JANINO and I'm unsure whether i should commit them to CVS or wait...

I can do it tonight.

You can't commit to CVS any more. It's not possible

Yeah, works like a breeze... thanks for your support.

I also updated the JANINO web site with the new repository address. The transition to SVN was really easy.
