Description

IBM Lotus Note is built on top of Eclipse RCP and provides a different UI paradigm to the traditional RCP application. The base UI framework is called the Lotus Expeditor. The Lotus Expeditor toolkit is a free product that is used on top of Eclipse.

We can see if this can be an alternative RCP container for GumTree, giving users a cleaner and fresher interface that it's standard IDE look and feel.

The toolkit works only on Eclipse 3.4

The toolkit requires a target to be set in IDE. This target can be Lotus Note or Lotus Expeditor. Both are commercial products and they are not free.

Another alternative is to use Lotus Symphony as the target (which is free!), but the application container may be limited to office application.
