  Windows XP, Groovydoc called from ant

Called from Ant, I was porting existing <javadoc> to <groovydoc>. In <javadoc> my <link> tag did not have a packages attribute so it didn't occur to me to it. I tried to run the <groovydoc> task and Groovydoc throws a NullPointerException. A more useful error other than NullPointerException would be helpful.
