could you please give us a hint about what happens when you start groovysh in cygwin? Because this wa we can only try it in cygwin and if it works there for us then close the issue.

Cygwin was passing through an empty string not null as the commandline

I have the same problem under WinXP, JDK6u3, groovy-binary-1.6-beta-1-SNAPSHOT.
I guess this bug is not fixed.

Enterit, you've tested this with a snapshot of Groovy or only with 1.5.1?

Sergey Bondarenko added a comment - 11/Jan/08 02:05 AM
I have tested this with a snapshot of Groovy (groovy-binary-1.6-beta-1-SNAPSHOT as of 09 Jan 208).
Groovysh did not work under cygwin.

I just downloaded the latest version and also had some problems but not the one identified in this issue. Sergey, do you see a stack trace or the error mentioned above?

Sergey Bondarenko added a comment - 11/Jan/08 02:53 AM
I've just checked. Groovysh now works properly. Sorry for confusing you. It looks mystical. %)
If I find the way I have got that error, then I write you.
