I get:

I'm running eclipse 3.5.1 and Galileo SR1. I can't install the groovy plugin.
I've attached the error I get and the contents of the error log. Can someone
please look at this as I am dead in the water until it is fixed.

This is on my agenda for first this Monday morning. The JDT patch has already been updated. I just need to alter the build scripts.

Hi Steve,

1. Have you added any extra features to the standard Eclipse SDK that you installed? It is hard to tell from the screenshot that you attached.

2. Can you post the actual text of the p2 error message as you did for the description of this bug above? It is unclear to me if the screenshot shows all of the error messages and their details.

(In general, I do not find screenshot too useful unless they convey non-textual information.)

3. If this is not a fresh install of Eclipse, can you create a new install and try to install groovy into that?

It is hard to know what is happening for you since we have not yet been able to reproduce your problem locally.

I have added all of the Galileo SR1 "Java Developers" package plus a couple of other
Galileo packakges. I need these and groovy must work with them. If it can't, its
groovy that will go, not Galileo. You need to fix groovy to work with the other plugins, certainly
those from Galileo.

I've attached an error log as a separate file.
