Description

Steps to reproduce:
1. Install plugin from http://dist.codehaus.org/groovy/distributions/greclipse/snapshot/e3.7/
2. Create a Groovy project.
3. Create a Groovy class.
4. When screen changes to Groovy editor window (or anytime that Groovy editor is called), the attached error is raised.

Thanks. One thing that comes to mind immediately is that you are running on Java 7. Although there are no known issues with running Groovy-Eclipse on Java 7, we haven't done any testing for it.

Another thing, can you check your error log to see if there are any other related errors that happened earlier?

Window -> Show View -> Error log

Thanks for your help in getting me to track this down. As we talked about in our skype session, the problem is that you installed a dev build of Eclipse 3.7.1 and this overrides support for the groovy-eclipse core patch. The patch only works on 3.7.0. In the next few weeks, we will be working on support for 3.7.1 (and Java 7).

I'll update this bug when we have some support for 3.7.1 as a snapshot.
