Description
Here is how I typically configure GMaven:
<plugin>
<groupId>org.codehaus.gmaven</groupId>
<artifactId>gmaven-plugin</artifactId>
<version>1.2</version>
<configuration>
<providerSelection>1.6</providerSelection>
</configuration>
<executions>
<execution>
<goals>
<goal>compile</goal>
<goal>testCompile</goal>
</goals>
</execution>
</executions>
<dependencies>
<dependency>
<groupId>org.codehaus.gmaven.runtime</groupId>
<artifactId>gmaven-runtime-1.6</artifactId>
<version>1.2</version>
<exclusions>
<exclusion>
<groupId>org.codehaus.groovy</groupId>
<artifactId>groovy-all</artifactId>
</exclusion>
</exclusions>
</dependency>
<dependency>
<groupId>org.codehaus.groovy</groupId>
<artifactId>groovy-all</artifactId>
<version>1.6.7</version> <!-- need to have full control over the minor version used -->
</dependency>
</dependencies>
</plugin>
Here is how I would like to configure the plugin:
<plugin>
<groupId>org.codehaus.gmaven</groupId>
<artifactId>gmaven-plugin</artifactId>
<version>1.2</version>
<executions>
<execution>
<goals>
<goal>compile</goal>
<goal>testCompile</goal>
</goals>
</execution>
</executions>
</plugin>
The Groovy version to use should be auto-detected by looking at the regular dependencies section. If the Groovy version is incompatible with GMaven, the build should be aborted.
