StreamingRenderer provides an error listener for users to listen to, but it should also log the errors by itself, at least at fine or finer level.
All the other geotools code reports errors, I guess logging should be streaming renderer responsibility too... only, report them at fine/finer level because of the overhead or reporting them as severe or warn as usual....
