Description

A few changes on the 2.2.x branch need to be ported to 2.3.x and trunk.

On 2.2.x, these include
r21556: SQLEncoderPostgis cleanup
r21555: encapsulated postgis version determination; exposed ConnectionPool; reverted createSchema tableName case override
r21554: improved postgis fixtures/tests utility

note: the "reverted createSchema tableName case override" was also done by justin on trunk shortly after the commit on 2.2.x

sigh... r21594 should also be applied from 2.2.x (on trunk r21595)

this is a small tweak to the PostgisDataStore.guessDataStoreOptions method in case of a NPE.
