After adding "BETA2007.gsb" - Im not able to publish a layer based on
EPSG:31468 via PostGIS (connection timeout in the webinterface).

There is a lot of continuing warnings (> 30min):

Patch committed. Added a couple of tests for translated transformations and guarded the logging so that not even the log string is generated if the logging at fine level is not enabled.

Btw, I did not try out the original data set, why were we getting 30 minutes of logging messages? Theoretically the code should have had to reproject only a few points, like 20 or something (a densified envelope)

The transform(...) function was transforming all srcPts[] array, not using srcOff, dstOff and numPts parameters. That's how it logged so many warnings, trying to transform points that didn't have to be transformed.
