David Adler has put forward the request to IBM legal asking if the code can be assigned to the OSGeo foundation. But for now we make use of this code under an LGPL license.

David Adler - 10/Jul/08 03:17 PM Hi Jody, I had sent Tyler Mitchell a couple notes asking him to clarify the need for copyright assignment but never heard back from him. I think you were copied on these back in March. IBM in general is not inclined to assign the copyright but is certainly willing to have it available under LGPL.
