Description

Graphic elements, line thicknesses, font halo, etc. change in size with change of &format_options=dpi: value, but font size does not.

Stephen, I've tried with your data on both a trunk and a 2.1.x checkout but I cannot seem to reproduce the problem.
I'm attaching two screenshots, one normal, one with dpi 300, generated with today's 2.1.x GeoServer.
I'm still in the hospital and using a usb dongle so I don't have enough bandwidth to download a release.

Made a test against a remote server, that one shows the issue:

See how the roads get smaller but the text remains the same?

One thing that gets my attention is that the opengeo server is not using the right fonts, probably because they are not installed.
I have a guess: if the font is not installed the java runtime will fall back on a fixed Serif 12 points font!
That's why... I can modify the code to use Serif in case the font is not found, but keep the other font params as specified.

Ok, I believe I fixed the issue. Stephen, can you get the latest nightly build here and see if it now works for you?

I manually kicked the build, a new set of .war/bin files with the fix inside should be ready within the hour

BTW, I tested with a font that is actually in my java installation and of course the problem went away. I'll test the nightly, and thank you.
