Description

1. Shapefile is imported successfully in SqlServer 2008.
2. Added a new store in GeoServer 2.1 Beta3.
3. Trying to add a new layer but exception is thrown when try get bounding box by clicking 'compute from data'

This is SQL Server specific so assignign to Justin,though by the logs contents it looks like a data validity issue

Hmmm... never seen this error before. I agree with Andrea in that it looks like maybe the case of an invalid geometry in the database.

@Sandeep: Can you run a query checking the validity of any geometries in the database? If any come back as invalid that is probably where the problem lies.

We could potentially add a configuration option to call MakeValid in the query as well.

Thanks for looking into it, I used MakeValid function and it worked, there were multiple invalid geometry. , I thought its SQL specific as Postgres was working fine on similar data.
